Woodland Walking Sticks is a small family-run concern tucked away in the Derbyshire village of Langwith, where the lanes meet the fields and the countryside still sets the pace of the day. From such surroundings comes our fondness for honest materials, careful hands and the old ways of making things properly.
Our stick maker, Craig, has always had a keen eye for a good piece of wood and a lasting passion for turning it into a walking stick of character and worth. Each stick is chosen, worked and finished in a manner that honours the timber itself, bringing out the grain, shape and natural quirks that make it unlike any other.
A good walking stick, in our view, ought to be steady in the hand, pleasing to the eye and full of its own quiet character. Whether taken along a country path, kept for everyday support, added to a collection or given as a thoughtful gift, every stick carries something of the woodland from which it came.
